Be careful with feeding your pup. To make it as comfortable as is possible, it should be given the same sort of food as it was in the breeder’s home, the diet should be changed gradually to avoid digestive problems. The most common problems associated with the breed are: poor eyesight, skin diseases, breath difficulties, hip dysplasia, and fragile bones in young dogs. Be careful with training the dog, it should be socialized at the early age.

The young are born blind and almost bare. They are completely dependent on their mother. Newborn dogs should necessarily be kept warm and clean. It is recommended to cover them with a clean blanket even if they are with the mother in a warm room without drafts. Some mothers don’t want to be bothered with their children and for several days don’t care for them or even bite, so the owner has to be the mother. A young dog should normally stay with the litter and the mother till its seventh week of age, but not more. By the time the young animal reaches its first birthday it is considered a dog.
